Gods lightning strikes against the devourer

Jacob Anglin

September 26, 2024

This past week I have been hearing God say over the shakings to come in the nations,

"I am striking the enemy and those who have contended against Me and My people. I will be a strong fortress and tower for you in these days. Do not get shaken during the shaking by having your hope and trust in Me as I shake everything that can be shaken so the enemy comes out and flees.

Possess the mountaintops and bring my kingdom influence wherever you go this hour. It is time to build brightly in light and Glory in the midst of darkness. I will give you the intelligence and wisdom that you need.

It is the time of the overthrows of the enemies' camps and schemes. Rise with me My body and become the head and not the tail.

I will show you what to tend to and how to cultivate new seeds of growth and rebuilding from the shaking. And tend to things in My Church as priests and kings to bring order and purity. It is time the church is really after the Father's heart and only does what I am doing, nothing based on their own initiative. You will know the way to go as you listen to my voice guiding you day by day, minute by minute.

Do not harden your hearts to my voice and leading but choose the path of humility and lowliness and let My Spirit rest on you as you rebuild the ancient ruins and follow my blueprints. Do not trust in Egypt or horses or chariots, but trust in Me your Lord and God. Return to rest in repentance and follow my ways."

Key Passages to Read

Psalms 42:1-11 TPT

[1] I long to drink of you, O God, to drink deeply from the streams of pleasure flowing from your presence. My longings overwhelm me for more of you! [2] My soul thirsts, pants, and longs for the living God. I want to come and see the face of God. [3] Day and night my tears keep falling and my heart keeps crying for your help, while my enemies mock me over and over, saying, “Where is this God of yours? Why doesn’t he help you?”

[4] So I speak over my heartbroken soul, “Take courage. Remember when you used to be right out front leading the procession of praise when the great crowd of worshipers gathered to go into the presence of the Lord? You shouted with joy as the sound of passionate celebration filled the air and the joyous multitude of lovers honored the feast of the Lord!” [5] So then, my soul, why would you be depressed? Why would you sink into despair? Just keep hoping and waiting on God, your Savior. For no matter what, I will still sing with praise, for you are my saving grace! [6] Here I am depressed and downcast. Yet I will still remember you as I ponder the place where your glory streams down from the mighty mountaintops, lofty and majestic—the mountains of your awesome presence.

[7] My deep need calls out to the deep kindness of your love. Your waterfall of weeping sent waves of sorrow over my soul, carrying me away, cascading over me like a thundering cataract. [8] All through the day Yahweh has commanded his endless love to pour over me. Through the night I sing his songs and my praises to the living God. [9] I will say to God, “You are my mountain of strength; how could you forget me? Why must I suffer this vile oppression of my enemies— these heartless tormentors who are out to kill me?” [10] Their wounding words pierce my heart over and over while they say, “Where is this God of yours?” [11] So I say to my soul, “Don’t be discouraged. Don’t be disturbed. For I know my God will break through for me.” Then I’ll have plenty of reasons to praise him all over again. Yes, he is my saving grace!

Psalms 68:17-24 TPT

[17] Look! The mighty chariots of God! Ten thousands upon ten thousands, more than anyone could ever number. God is at the front, leading them all from Mount Sinai into his sanctuary with the radiance of holiness upon him. [18] He ascends into the heavenly heights, taking his many captured ones with him, leading them in triumphal procession. And gifts were given to men, even the once rebellious, so that they may dwell with Yah. [19] What a glorious God! He gives us salvation over and over, then daily he carries our burdens! Pause in his presence [20] Our God is a mighty God who saves us over and over! For the Lord, Yahweh, rescues us from the ways of death many times. [21] But he will crush every enemy, shattering their strength. He will make heads roll for they refuse to repent of their stubborn, sinful ways. [22] I hear the Lord God saying to all the enemies of his people, “You’d better come out of your hiding places, all of you who are doing your best to stay far away from me. Don’t you know there’s no place to hide? [23] For my people will be the conquerors; they will soon have you under their feet. They will crush you until there is nothing left!” [24] O God, my King, your triumphal processions keep moving onward in holiness; you’re moving onward toward the Holy Place!

Psalms 40:13-17 TPT

[13] Please, Lord! Come quickly and rescue me! Take pleasure in showing me your favor and restore me. [14] Let all who seek my life be humiliated! Let them be confused and ashamed, God. Scatter those who wish me evil; they just want me dead. [15] Scoff at every scoffer and cause them all to be utter failures. Let them be ashamed and horrified by their complete defeat. [16] But let all who passionately seek you erupt with excitement and joy over what you’ve done! Let all your devoted lovers rejoice continually in the Savior, saying, “How great and glorious is our God!” [17] Lord, in my place of weakness and need, I ask again: Will you come and help me? I know I’m always in your thoughts. You are my true Savior and hero, so don’t delay to deliver me now, for you are my God.

Psalms 74:2, 18-23 AMP

[2] Remember Your congregation, which You have purchased of old, Which You have redeemed to be the tribe of Your inheritance; Remember Mount Zion, where You have dwelt.

[18] Remember this, O Lord, the enemy has scoffed, And a foolish and impious people has spurned Your name. [19] Oh, do not hand over the soul of your turtledove to the wild beast; Do not forget the life of Your afflicted forever. [20] Consider the covenant [You made with Abraham], For the dark places of the land are full of the habitations of violence. [21] Let not the oppressed return dishonored; Let the afflicted and needy praise Your name. [22] Arise, O God, plead Your own cause; Remember how the foolish man scoffs at You all day long. [23] Do not forget the [clamoring] voices of Your adversaries, The uproar of those who rise against You, which ascends continually [to Your ears].

Isaiah 30:1-3, 15-33 AMP

[1] “Woe (judgment is coming) to the rebellious children,” declares the Lord, “Who carry out a plan, but not Mine, And make an alliance [by pouring out a libation], but not of My Spirit, In order to add sin to sin; [2] Who proceed down to Egypt Without consulting Me, To take refuge in the stronghold of Pharaoh And to take shelter in the shadow of Egypt! [3] Therefore the safety and protection of Pharaoh will be your shame And the refuge in the shadow of Egypt, your humiliation and disgrace.

[15] For the Lord God, the Holy One of Israel has said this, “In returning [to Me] and rest you shall be saved, In quietness and confident trust is your strength.” But you were not willing, [16] And you said, “No! We will flee on horses!” Therefore you will flee [from your enemies]! And [you said], “We will ride on swift horses!” Therefore those who pursue you shall be swift. [17] A thousand of you will flee at the threat of one man; You will flee at the threat of five, Until you are left like a flag on the top of a mountain, And like a signal on a hill.

[18] Therefore the Lord waits [expectantly] and longs to be gracious to you, And therefore He waits on high to have compassion on you. For the Lord is a God of justice; Blessed (happy, fortunate) are all those who long for Him [since He will never fail them]. [19] O people in Zion, inhabitant in Jerusalem, you will weep no longer. He will most certainly be gracious to you at the sound of your cry for help; when He hears it, He will answer you. [20] Though the Lord gives you the bread of adversity and the water of oppression, yet your Teacher will no longer hide Himself, but your eyes will [constantly] see your Teacher. [21] Your ears will hear a word behind you, “This is the way, walk in it,” whenever you turn to the right or to the left.

[22] And you will defile your carved images overlaid with silver, and your cast images plated with gold. You will scatter them like a bloodstained cloth, and will say to them, “Be gone!” [23] Then He will give you rain for the seed with which you sow the ground, and bread [grain] from the produce of the ground, and it will be rich and plentiful. In that day your livestock will graze in large and roomy pastures. [24] Also the oxen and the young donkeys that work the ground will eat salted fodder, which has been winnowed with shovel and pitchfork. [25] On every lofty mountain and on every high hill there will be streams of water on the day of the great slaughter (the day of the Lord), when the towers fall [and all His enemies are destroyed]. [26] The light of the full moon will be like the light of the sun, and the light of the sun will be seven times brighter, like the light of seven days [concentrated in one], in the day the Lord binds up the fracture of His people and heals the wound He has inflicted [because of their sins].

[27] Now look, the name of the Lord comes from far away, Burning with His anger, and heavy with smoke; His lips are full of indignation, And His tongue is like a consuming fire. [28] His breath is like an overflowing river, Which reaches to the neck, To sift the nations back and forth in a sieve [of disaster], And to put in the jaws of the peoples the bridle which leads to ruin. [29] You will have a song as in the night when a holy feast is kept, And joy of heart as when one marches [in procession] with a flute, To go to the [temple on the] mountain of the Lord, to the Rock of Israel.

[30] And the Lord will make His majestic voice heard, And show the descending of His arm [striking] in [His] fierce anger, And in the flame of a devouring fire, In the crashing sound of heavy rain, cloudburst, and hailstones. [31] For at the voice of the Lord the Assyrians will be terrified, When He strikes [them] with the rod. [32] And every blow of the rod of punishment, Which the Lord will lay on them, Will be to the music of Israel’s tambourines and lyres; And in battles, brandishing weapons, He will fight Assyria. [33] For Topheth [in Hinnom] has long been ready; Indeed, it has been prepared for the [Assyrian] king. He has made it deep and wide, A pit of fire with plenty of wood; The breath of the Lord, like a river of brimstone (blazing sulfur), kindles and fans it.
